A Message from Your Pastor
I believe God is preparing the hearts of His people for Revival. Believing that God has directed me to do so, for the past several weeks, I have been speaking about the reasons we need Revival in our day, as well as, how we need to return to a place of humility before God so that He may, once again, impact our individual lives as well as our church and community with His Grace, Power and Wisdom.
When God began to stir my heart towards Revival, my thoughts immediately took me back to my youth when we would attend camp meetings, have endless weeks of powerful moves of the Spirit of God in our church, and the more intimate times of seeking after the things of God in our home under the leadership of my father and mother.
I remember the many hours spent at the altars of the church crying out to God to help us be more like Him. I remember the souls of men, women, boys and girls being brought into the Kingdom of God by Grace through Faith, changed, transformed, delivered, and made whole.
Revival is a “new beginning of obedience to God” with one coming to God in new and total surrender to His will and purpose. Revival most certainly is an individual work of the Spirit of God to anyone who gives themself fully to Christ and His Divine purpose for their lives.
Revival can be a move of the Holy Spirit in an individual, a church and even an entire town or community of people. It is our desire to see people find hope and healing for a lifetime of despair or even recent tragedy and loss.
God loves the people of Winters, California with an Everlasting love and He so desires to demonstrate His great love to all who come to Him. The bible clearly teaches us that Jesus was acquainted with pain, suffering, disappointment, loss, rejection, and betrayal. And in each circumstance He was able to draw strength from His Heavenly Father and when hanging on the cross, He was able to look at those who sought His demise and say to His Father, “FORGIVE THEM”.
There is FORGIVENESS and FREEDOM for any and all who will believe in their hearts that God sent Jesus to bring life and hope to those He created and when we acknowledge our sinful condition, which has separated us from God, and confess Jesus as Savior, we pass from death to Life at that moment. The Promise of Life Eternal is not just for a future time but impacts the life we live even now. God promises those who know Him “life more abundant and fulfilling” than what they have ever known.
For those of us who call Main Street Church home we welcome anyone who is seeking to know God more fully and share the fellowship of those are of like mind and pursuit of God. The wonderful people of Main Street are people just like you and me who desire to be a part of a fellowship of people who know their strengths as well as their weaknesses and realize that God IS our strength in weakness and He is the One who heals us when we are hurting and comforts us when we do not understand. We are learning to draw strength from the God who created us to have purposed to share that love of God with as many people as we can.
“Jesus said, come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened down, and I will give you rest”…
We would be honored to get to have you worship with us. We are here with an ear to listen, a hand to help and fellowship with those who long to be a part of God’s wonderful, growing family.
We are called to Live What We Believe!
